Rope Access
Rope Access has achieved its aim of being recognised as a safe, fast and cost effective means of carrying out a variety of tasks in normally inaccessible locations which would usually require traditional means of access such as scaffolding.
The advantages of using rope access techniques are unlimited:
- Rope access techniques offer much better flexibility for rescheduling therefore taking advantage of favourable weather conditions.
- The provision of access can be a significant proportion of any projects costs. Utilising CLS rope access services replaces traditional access solutions and will also offer our clients significant savings.
- Rope access systems are installed & dismantled quickly & efficiently and with minimal environmental impact.
- By removing operational & time constraints, CLS rope access services are often able to extend the "time window" which is available to undertake work.
- Rope access is statistically much safer than using traditional scaffolding methods and uses fewer men and much less equipment. Unlike scaffolding, ropes can be removed from site at the end of shift - this is of particular benefit while working on onshore locations where there is a potential for vandalism.
- By minimising disruption at ground level, using CLS rope access can often allow other trades to continue their work when compared to the disruption that is caused by for example scaffolding.
- Rope access systems are unobtrusive therefore retaining visual integrity of the structure being worked on.
- The versatility of rope access provides CLS with a more flexible & comprehensive service meaning that CLS Engineers & Managers are no longer limited to areas that can be easily reached by traditional methods of access.
- CLS can provide a single point of contact for our clients - as CLS can provide the access solutions and the relevant tradesman that are noted below.
CLS are a full operator member of IRATA and employ a highly trained workforce of all trades who are fully conversant with all the latest rope access techniques.
